Liberty of London brings Justice for All

I was super excited when Target announced that on March 14th they will bring Liberty of London prints to there stores and there is going to be something for everyone! The prints will be featured on a number of items including teapots, tableware, neckties, dresses, and bicycles...just to name a few! These are some the wonderful prints target is allowing us to take a peek at, needless to say I already have my wish list!

Sunday Funday--Maharam

Let me start by wishing all the fathers and single mothers who have to play both roles a Happy Father's Day. For those of you who hadn't seen this before there is this great pattern memory matching game by Maharam. You can play the online version by clicking here and then clicking on accessories. This game is fun, inspirational and beautiful. You can also buy the at home version which retails for about $32.00.

Amy Butler Inspiration

Amy Butler makes some of the most beautiful patterns and prints. I could look at this all day so I thought I'd share some of my inspiration...enjoy :-)

Add the Z Factor

Check out these photos; they all have the Z factor...

Who would have thought, "Bubblegum" pink mixed with cobalt blue and sophisticated furnishings makes for a very unique look. Throw in the zebra skin rug...and that's what I call a BOLD yet elegant entry-way.

Who says you can't mix all your favorite things in one room? White furniture, warm fabric tones, and cool avocado green on the walls. Bring on the zebra, and you've got one eclectic bedroom.

What a love story; Curvy furnishings mixed well with clean lines. Tradition falls for modern and black revisits white, when the zebra hits the floor. The glass table says, "I know I could have covered this up, but I want you to see it all"!

What is that...velvet?("Coming to America" fans can appreciate that LOL) Not too much fuss, just some wall paper, lemon trees, and bold color. Lay out the zebra rug to "anchor" it all and it's dinner for three in this retro dining area.

No matter the style the equation is simple;

if you want a room that = BOLD and FUN + ZEBRA !

Be Inspired

It’s ok to find one thing you really like and build upon that item. Back when I lived with my parents I found these colorful harlequin dining plates at Dillard's, I wasn't sure when I'd be able to use the plates (since I didn't have my own place) but I knew I loved them and I didn't want to leave the store without them. Once I did move out my roomie and I choose the decor for our place based on those plates.


I later found this plate, and even though it's a little different than the original I felt by placing it on a plate stand and using it as a part of our center piece it works well to compliment the colorful place settings.





The pattern was also carried through to the living area with this pillow (Burlington) and picture frame (Hobby Lobby), and to the downstairs bathroom with this vase (Tuesday Morning) and towels (sewn with fabric from Hancock)





Don't worry it's not all "matchy matchy"! Because the pattern is disbursed, just a touch here and there, i think it works. It also helps that even though the pattern stays the same all of the accessories are different colors.
