Add the Z Factor

Check out these photos; they all have the Z factor...

Who would have thought, "Bubblegum" pink mixed with cobalt blue and sophisticated furnishings makes for a very unique look. Throw in the zebra skin rug...and that's what I call a BOLD yet elegant entry-way.

Who says you can't mix all your favorite things in one room? White furniture, warm fabric tones, and cool avocado green on the walls. Bring on the zebra, and you've got one eclectic bedroom.

What a love story; Curvy furnishings mixed well with clean lines. Tradition falls for modern and black revisits white, when the zebra hits the floor. The glass table says, "I know I could have covered this up, but I want you to see it all"!

What is that...velvet?("Coming to America" fans can appreciate that LOL) Not too much fuss, just some wall paper, lemon trees, and bold color. Lay out the zebra rug to "anchor" it all and it's dinner for three in this retro dining area.

No matter the style the equation is simple;

if you want a room that = BOLD and FUN + ZEBRA !

Pink Power

Okay, okay, I know I've said that pink is not one of my favorite colors but lately I've seen so many items in various hues of pink that really appeal to me. Last year when it was time to decorate my sister's room ,by the way she's 12, I decided to use the color in combination with brown, and I was very pleased with the outcome (bottom left). Since decorating her room anytime I see decor in these colors I stop, just in case it's something I can add to her room. I featured adult spaces that were in pink a few days ago and here a some other spaces and accessories. Pink actually looks good with plenty other colors and it's such a fun color...girly...but FUN!

What do you think of pink?

Think Pink!

I'm normally not a pink kinda girl, although I think it's a pretty color I don't know that I'd want the color as a part of my decor. I was talking to a friend and we both were saying that we'd never seen a room with hot pink walls...so I begin my search.

Here are a couple of COOL spaces featuring HOT pink walls!

Teen Queen

This is my little sister's bedroom. I spent about $500 on everything for the room. I bought her down comforter from Target and I found this great pink and brown polka dot fabric that I used for her duvet and valance (I do a little sewing). Instead of getting a headboard I used the paper you see on the wall (I have this venture I've begun that I like to call Scrapbook Interiors, I'll tell you more about that very soon). If you like what you see email me, I have tons of ideas and I'd love to help. This is one of many pictures to come...hope you enjoy!
